Your Guide to Fourth of July Festivities Around St. Louis for 2024 | RedKey Realty Leaders

Summer is one of the most popular times to move, particularly since it allows families to settle into their new house before the school year starts. However, it can be difficult to enjoy summer activities when you're not yet familiar with the area. Especially on the Fourth of July, you want to go out and celebrate, but you don't know where the celebrations are. Fortunately, there are plenty of Fourth of July festivities for all tastes this year near St. Louis homes for sale. Here are our favorites.

  • Webster Groves Pet Parade - 33 E. Glendale Road, Webster Groves, MO 63119
If you have kids off for the summer and want to start the celebration early, check out the Webster Groves Pet Parade. Open to children 15 and under, pets of all types compete in a variety of categories, from tricks to jokes to a pet/owner lookalike contest. Located near Webster Groves homes for sale, the community also has a 4th of July parade the next day, fireworks, and other festivities.

  • America's Birthday Parade - 4th & Market Streets, St. Louis, MO 63101
One of the most iconic parades in the Midwest, the America's Birthday Parade has been running since 1878 and is now celebrating its 141st year. Beginning at 4th Street at 10 a.m., the parade will proceed west down Market St. until noon with floats, dancers, marching bands, and more. Once the parade ends, there will be an airshow, live music, and other celebrations, culminating in a fireworks display at 9:40 p.m. This annual event is a St. Louis tradition that's not to be missed.

  • Eads Bridge Trolley Tour - 4947 W. Florissant Ave., St. Louis, MO 63115
Once called impractical and impossible, the Eads Bridge is celebrating 150 years of use this year with a special 4th of July celebration. The Eads Bridge Trolley Tour will be held at 10 a.m., examining the bridge's history and its chief engineer, James Buchanan Eads. Tickets are $5, and guests should arrive no later than 9:45 a.m. at Bellefontaine Cemetery & Arboretum to ensure their spot on the tour. Then, at 4 p.m., there's a 150th Birthday celebration at the History Museum. If you love history, architecture, or engineering, you'll want to check out this event.

  • Kirkwood Freedom Festival - 111 S. Geyer Road, Kirkwood, MO 63122
The best fireworks display near Kirkwood homes for sale is at the Kirkwood Freedom Festival. People will be gathered in Kirkwood Park all day to picnic, socialize, and have fun. Starting at 5 p.m., there will be food trucks of all types, and live music begins at 7 p.m. As soon as it gets dark, a dazzling fireworks display begins the whole family is sure to love. This annual event is one the community looks forward to all year, and it's a great way to spend the 4th of July.

  • St. Charles Riverfest - 222 S. Riverside Drive, Saint Charles, MO 63301
